Specification guide · mesh from 3/8 inch
Mesh terminology varies between buyers and markets. The same written number may describe a bar measurement, stretched mesh or another local convention, so the measurement method should be stated before price comparison.
Quotation reference
Use the fields you already know and attach a photo, drawing or current supplier label where trade terminology may differ.

Mono 0.15–1.0 mm or multi 210D ply
Mesh, line or ply and knot construction are reviewed as one specification.
Photo, drawing or sample
Show the measured points when terminology may differ.
Write the value, unit and whether the measurement is taken across one side, across the stretched opening or by another local method. A marked photo is often more reliable than a translated trade name.
For imported replacement stock, include the existing product label and a measurement photo so the quotation does not rely on an assumed conversion.
Mesh size affects the product route but does not define the complete panel. Add line diameter, depth or MD, required length, color, quantity, packing and intended assembly step.
Final combinations and tolerances are confirmed in the quotation and approved reference.
Write every mesh as value + unit + measurement method. For example, “1-1/2 inch, stretched mesh” is clearer than “1-1/2 mesh.” Do not convert a buyer value to bar measure or stretched measure unless the conversion basis has been confirmed.
Attach a photo showing the two measurement points. Keep that same convention in the quotation, approved sample and repeat-order record.
Use the editable Excel template to record filament, line or ply, knot, mesh convention, MD, length, mixed quantity and packing in one order document.
