Single netting wall
Choose a Sinking or Floating Single-Wall Gill Net
Wall count and buoyancy are separate decisions. Start by confirming that the required construction has one netting panel, then specify how the upper and lower edges should be equipped. This comparison prevents a floating build from being treated as a fishing-method claim.

Side-by-side configuration guide
| Single-wall sinking | One netting panel plus an agreed lower-weight arrangement. State rope, sinker style, unit weight or weight per finished length where known. |
|---|---|
| Single-wall floating | One netting panel plus an agreed floatline. State float dimensions, interval, upper rope and lower-edge requirement. |
| What remains common | Finished length, finished height, mesh measurement, netting-line specification, color, selvage or edge detail, packing and quantity. |
| Terms to avoid | Sinking does not by itself mean bottom-set. Floating does not by itself mean drift net. Describe the intended configuration instead. |
Select sinking when the lower edge defines the quote
The lower configuration may use discrete sinkers, a weighted rope or another approved arrangement. A product photo is the fastest way to distinguish these options. Price comparison is meaningful only after the weight and spacing are aligned.
Select floating when the floatline defines the quote
Float dimensions, spacing and rope are purchasing variables, not decoration. The quote should also state what is required at the lower edge so the finished balance is not assumed from an image.
Measurement sequence for a clean RFQ
- Confirm one netting wall from a photo or sample.
- Measure mesh in millimetres or inches and say whether the measurement is knot-to-knot, stretched or another agreed method.
- Separate the netting line specification from any rope diameter.
- State finished length and finished depth/height, not only the unmounted panel size.
- List every float, sinker and rope detail that must match the current product.
- Finish with quantity per specification, packing unit and destination.
Ask for a single-wall comparison
Send both variants if you distribute more than one local configuration. They will be quoted as separate specifications rather than averaged into one price.
