Single-wall / floating configuration
Single-Wall Floating Gill Net
A floating configuration combines one netting wall with an approved floatline and lower edge. “Floating” describes the supplied assembly, not a promise that it is a drift net or suitable for every fishing area. Buyers should identify the legal method and operating conditions.

Build the floatline specification first
| Float body | Record outside dimensions, hole size, shape and any molded marking; material is verified separately. |
|---|---|
| Float interval | State centre-to-centre spacing or the number of floats per 50m/100m finished unit. |
| Upper rope | Give diameter, construction, color and how the netting is mounted. Do not use netting-line diameter as the rope size. |
| Lower edge | Describe rope and any weight or sinker arrangement. A floating top does not define the entire net balance. |
Netting and finished-unit details
Confirm mesh in millimetres or inches together with the measurement method, netting-line specification, finished length, mounted height and color reference. The 7 fen–9 zhi local range is useful only after conversion against the buyer’s measurement. Common finished lengths are 50m and 100m; common height references are 0.8m–6m.
For importers
Specify bale count, pieces per bale, shipping marks and destination. A mixed specification order is assessed per version because float and mesh combinations cannot be averaged.
For wholesale distributors
Send the current fast-moving SKU photo, retail or wholesale packing unit, and any color convention used by customers. We match measurements rather than assuming a market standard.
For commercial-supply buyers
Add the intended environment and any mandatory local restrictions. This helps identify questions but does not replace the buyer’s legal approval.
Packing and inspection points for floatline orders
Floats can add volume even when the netting itself compresses easily. State whether the product should be folded, tied, baled or placed in cartons, and whether the floats may be compressed. Give the pieces per pack and acceptable label language. Before shipment, an agreed photo set can show the float interval across a measured section, the upper-rope attachment, the lower edge, the finished bundle count and shipping marks.
If a distributor sells several float sizes under similar names, keep a dimensioned image for every SKU. An outside diameter, length and hole measurement is more reliable than “small,” “medium” or a color code. It also helps separate replacement-float purchases from complete-net orders.
When to request a new quotation
A different mesh, netting line, finished height, float interval, rope or packing count creates a different specification even if the product name stays the same. Request a revised line item rather than editing the old description informally. This preserves a clear basis for production and later reorders.
Compare the weighted single-wall build when the lower edge controls the order, or request floats and ropes separately for local assembly and replacement stock.
Frequently asked questions
Does floating mean drift net?
No. The page identifies an edge configuration only. The buyer must describe and approve the intended fishing method separately.
Can float size be chosen from the photo?
A photo helps identify shape, but measured dimensions, spacing and the required finished balance are still needed.
